13 E Queens Way, Hampton VA - (757)788-7500

UPDATE 7/15: Our employee described below has tested positive for COVID-19. For those of you who don’t yet know anyone who has tested positive... what this means is that anyone who was less than six feet from the person for more than 15 minutes two days prior to symptom onset should go into quarantine for 14 days. We doubt any customers fall into this category. However because we had a busy weekend with all front of house staff working, they have all potentially been exposed. Rather than attempting to trace down which of them were actually exposed (> 15 minutes at < 6’), we have decided out of an abundance of caution to suspend operations for 14 days.
You may wonder about testing... once you have been exposed, a negative test result will not bring you out of quarantine. This is because the incubation period for the virus can be up to 14 days and unless you were tested on the 14th day from your exposure, a negative test earlier in the quarantine period does not mean you are not infected. (Add amateur epidemiologist to the list of required skills for restaurateurs!)
We hope to open for Sunday Brunch on the 26th. THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for all of your well wishes during this stressful time. If you have specific questions, please feel free to direct message us. Stay safe everyone. We can get through this one step at a time.
ORIGINAL POST: We have some hard news. Unfortunately the coronavirus may have made it to our little corner of the world. We have a server who is feeling symptoms of COVID-19 and is going to get tested. Because her symptoms were very mild, she didn’t realize initially that she was sick but looking back feels that she might have been sick for a few days that she was at work... the nights of July 10th and 11th and Sunday Brunch on the 12th. If she tests positive, CDC recommendations will be that anyone who was close to her for more than 15 minutes at less than a 6 foot distance starting two days before the onset of her symptoms should quarantine, so this would also include her shift on July 9th. Given the short term interactions our servers have with customers, the fact that we all wear masks, and the cleaning protocols we have in place, we doubt this has affected any of our customers. However many of our staff may have accumulated enough time around her to have to quarantine, so as a precaution we are having them do that starting now. We are closing to clean and sanitize and will remain closed until we figure out our next steps. We will update this post as we learn more. It is our duty to the community to let you know these things as we learn them. Please keep our staff and their families in your thoughts.

Grass Fed Burgers

Grass-Finished Burgers

We chose free-range, humanely raised cattle from Harris Farm in Chatham, Virginia. Pasture moves are made daily insuring that the cattle always have a fresh helping of lush grass and are kept parasite-free and healthy without the use of medicated feeds or other antibiotics. Their cattle management contributes positively to the stewardship of their local ecosystem and results in a delectable beef, high in heart-healthy Omega-3s and free of the nasty additives used in feed-lot production.

Featuring beer can chicken and pulled bork butt (pulled chicken and beef brikset will return post-COVID). All of our sauces are made in house including our House, Chipotle, Mustard, White, Sweet Heat, and Carolina BBQ sauces. But don't limit yourself to BBQ, we also make Boursin Aioli, Tzatziki, Chile Lime Cilantro Crema, Awesome Sauce, Chile Lime Cilantro Crema, Bleu Cheese, Ranch, and Honey Mustard.

20 Drafts

20 Drafts (post-COVID)

Virginia breweries make up half of our twenty taps. On Monday nights 5 - 9pm ALL Virginia drafts are discounted (call for price). See the full list. We offer pints, pitchers, and growlers (to go).

Premium Floats

Premium Floats

Our floats start with Homestead Creamery premium ice cream made with antibiotic and hormone free milk from their family farm outside of Roanoake. Make it wholesome by strawberry or chocolate milk, or just root beer or another soda. Make it boozy by adding a hard soda from Henry's or Small Town Brewery or let us whip up a Mudslide, Creamsicle, or Cinnamon Toast.
